Jack Desemar is the founder and Chairman of Future System Advisors, L.L.C. and the creative nucleus behind the FutureSystem™ program. Since beginning his insurance career 1972, he self-studied estate and income tax, and finance. Since 1980, Jack has practiced as a specialist in estate liquidity and financial planning for clients in the very high net worth market, primarily through working relationships with CPAs and tax attorneys. With the input from these disciplines he started writing a book in 1985 based on his theories, and used them to develop a system of new planning strategies. As the planning strategies evolved, Jack realized a new type of life insurance product was necessary for the strategies to be most efficient. By 1997, he had the new product designed, and after searching for a carrier to produce the product, General American Life agreed in 1998. After initial private placement and subsequent SEC registration, his average planning case resulted in a complete restructuring of every client’s estate, capturing significant assets under management, and routine $1M life premiums.

Since 1995, most of Jack’s efforts have been devoted to the creative thinking of seeing his vision of the insurance industry come to fruition. After years of doing market research with major broker dealers, and insurance carriers, Jack and a few core colleagues have restructured the FSA business infrastructure, hired a management team, and are conducting meetings with profile carriers arranged through their strategic partner, RGA.

Now, Jack’s sole responsibility is to assist with carrier acquisition and to keep The Future System ahead of the pack. Presently, years of undeveloped ideas are currently on the drawing board for future implementation.

“As I do in most of my strategic planning objectives, I developed my own estate plan and then consulted various specialists for improvements. I found that most of these individuals used a “cook book” approach that was limited to their products or narrow specialties. By comparison, the FutureSystem platform was a comprehensive tool that enabled me to understand and quantify my current and future scenarios. It allowed me to fully customize and optimize my estate plan though common sense strategies and more efficient products.”
